Building Guidelines
MageTown SMP Building Guidelines
- Respect the Theme
- Please ensure that your builds align with the area's theme or setting, if applicable. This helps maintain a consistent and immersive world.
- Mind the Landscape
- Work with the natural landscape when building. Avoid sharp drop-offs and empty spaces in your buildings.
- Spacing
- Maintain a respectful distance between your builds and others to prevent overcrowding and maintain an open, spacious world.
- No Floating Structures
- Ensure your structures are grounded or suspended in ways that make logical and aesthetic sense.
- Building Heights
- Please do not make your buildings significantly taller than others. While this is a loose rule, it still applies to prevent excessively tall structures that may overshadow others.
- Roads and Pathways
- Follow guidelines for road and pathway layouts to maintain consistency and ease of navigation.
- Architectural Variety
- Experiment with different architectural styles to bring diversity and character to the server's landscape.
- Community Projects
- Collaborate with fellow players on community projects, enhancing the server experience through joint efforts.
- Server-Specific Rules
- Pay attention to any server-specific rules related to redstone contraptions, farms, or technical aspects.
- Environmental Considerations
- Promote sustainability by replanting trees, conserving resources, and minimizing environmental impact.
- Approval Process
- You can request an inspection of your building at any time, but this is not necessary as we will periodically review the map to ensure rules are being followed. We will contact you if we find any issues.
- No Offensive Builds
- Do not create offensive, inappropriate, or harmful structures that violate community guidelines.
- Maintenance
- Periodically review existing builds to ensure they still adhere to these guidelines. Abandoned builds may be removed.
